Ok so I have a big birthday coming up in 2010 and I want to go to Vancouver. Have any of you that are reading this ever been to Vancouver and can you tell me about the highlights of the area. I have started looking things up, but I thought maybe I could get a first hand perspective.

Working today. Woo Hoo. Actually it is kind of slow right now. I can handle slow. Our unit is full. People I tell you are just so sick. I mean I know I work in an intensive care unit and people are sick, but I mean these patients are SICK....and they are too young to be that way.

Thanksgiving was a good day. After I got home I took my fall decorations down and put up some of my Christmas stuff, not even half of it.

My show is on Hiatus. I hate that word. I will miss my boys of SPN.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Americans. I vow to overeat today. I am thankful for the full belly I shall have at the end of the day. I am thankful for my health family and friends. AND MY LOVELY PUNKIN Dog.

My new years resolution is to post daily in my LJ. I am going to try and get back into the groove in the weeks ahead. I know I have said this a thousand times but I just feel that my life really is too boring for a daily blog. I am not skilled in posting pics and videos or even links for that matter so it is just dull me. Wait...Perhaps that could be a new years resolution as well to become skilled in those things mentioned. Yes I shall do that.

I like having goals...besides the one of losing weight..yeah yeah it still needs to be done.

My dog is being very vocal today and it is driving me crazy. There has been a cat walking around by the side yard and the pond my house is next to and she just can't leave it alone. bark bark bark.

The Ham is in the oven cooking..everything is ready to be cooked as well. I shall be taking the stuff to my dads house around one today.

Ok so why is it that today I had 5 people tell me that when they heard about Justins' stalker: they thought of me? I told them I was too sane to get caught. :)

My back is kind of sore today. I didn't sleep well lastnight. I hope that I get better sleep tonight.

I have started making lists of stuff to take on my trip. It is what I do.

Bon Jovi is coming to town on March 11th. I am so going to that concert. I love Bon Jovi. It will be my second Bon Jovi Concert. I saw them 2 years ago for my birthday. They put on a great concert. You know they have tons of great material.

Dog almost caught two rabbits today. Go Punkin, but now she is a little limpy. I gave her the antiflammatory she can have as needed to help with the pain. I am sure she will be better tomorrow.

I am looking to do some home remodeling this spring. I also would like to do something fantabulous for this birthday in 2010 since it is a big one.

sorry I realize it has been a while since I have posted. How are you all?

I just got home a couple days ago from visiting family in St louis. I had a fun time. My family is crazy. A good crazy. hmmm what else. I leave in 2 weeks for a cruise to the bahamas and the virgin islands.

The Hiney (h1n1) is in full bloom around these parts. I practically live in a mask at work. Oh and my wish has come true...no kids under 12 are allowed to visit the hospital patient care areas. Can I get a WOOT WOOT. Now if you are sick and under 12 our pediatric unit is taking patients.

What's everyone doing for halloween? I am working. I will festivly wear my halloween scrub top that doesn't completely match my required scrub color of Ciel Blue..but oh well. I like to live on the edge that way.

In the sparkly dance boy news...Joey has a movie to work on....Chris and JC are writing together...Lance is um well going to help with Chris' charity thing..Justin looks to have had a great concert. Justin is sure taking a while to get rid of Jessica. He realizes that it has been almost 3 years. It is time to start the break up process and write a new album. I am loving the curls and I bet JC is too. :) you can take the JuC out public but you can't take the JuC out of this girl. Well, you know what I mean.

In other hot hot men news...Supernatural is good. Love Love some Sam and Dean hunting together again. I am glad to take a break from the apocolypse heaviness and get back to the heart of the boys and the show. Did I mention that they are very very very good-looking. I have started reading some good Slash with the Jared/Jensen pairing. I don't due the Wincest stuff.
Family stuff is good. Dad and brothers are doing well. So that is good news.

I have joined the 21st century and now own an IPOD.... Watch out now I might actually get a dvd player for my house. ;)

See what happens when I don't update freguently, I tend to ramble. I know you are thinking that this is not knew news to you. It is.

On a lighter note we had a patient with MR (mental retardation) on our unit and she would do this cool thing of singing the name game whenever you introduced yourself to her. I said Hey Helen my name is Tonya...and she would say Helen Belen....tonya tonya bo-wonya.... so cute made everyone smile.

Hope all is well and you stay warm when needed and cool when called for..

I don't know if I am just PMS or what, but my moods have been up and down. Maybe Iam bipolar.
I am happy for a few hours then get all sad and feeling sorry for myself..then just overly sensitive about things. It is like I can't stop myself and I should wear a sign around my neck saying I'm sorry.

what I need is a new goal. Something to work toward. I need to get off my ass and start taking a class toward my master degree. I know that I won't be able and don't want to be doing the physical work of nursing as I get older. And that is another thing I can't seem to stop thinking of myself as ancient. ugg I am making myself irritated just typing this...Poor me. waaaaa.

Anyway. I'm glad that hockey is starting and that the Raiders beat the Chiefs on Sunday. I am glad that I have a job. I am glad that I still have some friends. I am glad that I can still type. I am damn glad and lucky if anyone got to the end of this.

How are you ? Me just been hanging and going to work.
A little bummed because I am not going to be able to go to Justin's golf thingy and tournament. It is just a little too expensive for me because I waited to long to get a ticket. SO I will visit family in St Louis or I don't know yet, but I really need a vacation.

I am really into Supernatural. I love this show so much. It is so well written. The 2 leading men being hot is not bad either. I am a Sam girl. I think I have said this before but it is so cool.
I miss having a new active fandom. My sparkley dance boys will have a place in my heart and I support them still. I miss them all together and being active seperately. I miss reading JuC fan fiction so much. I still read the old stuff.

Soon I shall go on a cruise to the virgin islands and the bahamas. This comes in November and I am so looking forward to that. One of my friends going has never been and it is so awesome to be with someone when they experience something for the first time. It will be a good time.

My darling dog Punkin is doing well. She isn't as happy as me to have fall show up do to allergies. She gets the itches around this time of year for about a week or two.

Looking forward to Flu season..NOT. It shall be interesting. I am not sure that I will get the h1n1 shot yet, but probably will. If staff doesn't take the h1n1 vaccination there is rumor that you will be made to wear a mask while at work. I personally think that visitors under the age of 12 and over 60 should be banned during the season, because people don't listen. If you have a cold or cold like symptoms DON'T COME TO THE HOSPITAL. See Don't get me started on this whole thing. ugg. Ok really I would say all visitors or they have to pass inspection before coming any further than the lobby or the cafeteria. :) aren't I nice. lol

Two weeks later.
Just been busy with work and stuff.
Yesterday my bff turned 4-0 and I treated her to a mani/pedi. We had a good time. what else happened in my life.
I had that supernatural drinkig game night with my friend. We realized shortly into the first few episodes of the season one that Sam doesn't say "Dean" as often as we thought. We then made the deciscion to drink anytime either one of the guys said each others names. It was a good time. We were up till 4 am. woohoo.

I am looking forward to the start of the new fall shows. I like the new project runway although I think it should still be in New York City. Whom do I like so far ....well I like who won last week. I didn't however like Lindsey Lohan polluting my show.

Anyone going to go to Vegas to see Justin this october? I am thinking of volunteering again, actually have signed up for it. I will probably go to the concert again, but I am actually waiting to see who all he will have there. I heard about TC(you know tlc without the L) performing but that is it so far.

Looking forward to New Moon. I really haven't been to the movies in a bit. Last movie I saw was My sisters Keeper. I bawled my eyes out. I have heard good and bad about The Time Travelers Wife. I will probably go see it and judge for myself.

Oh did you guys hear about how if you look up info on Jessica Biel on the web it is most likely you will get a computer virus. HEE HEE. She is infectious, someone should tell Justin.
Also how could I forget JC on ABDC. To be honest I am not that impressed this year with the groups so far. We shall see. I just like being able to watch JC on tv.

I have had a patient the last week that reminds me a lot of my mom and the situation surrounding her death. So yeah kind of hard to deal emotionally. BUT AND BOY IS MY BUTT BIG>.... anyway. I am dealing.

Still selling AVON and enjoy it. It gives me some mad money. I like.

I heard tell that Paris Hilton may do an episode of Supernatural. I hope this is a rumor, but part of me would so be interested in Deans reaction to her. I hear the DVD for season 4 is coming out in september. I shall buy or is it out already.

I would so like some new books to read along with the HP books. I am on book number 4 of the HP series. The other book suggestions do not have to be like HP. I just like to read a lot and like to read perhaps a book geared more toward adults. Oh I reccomended the Black Daggar Brotherhood series books to a coworker and she was shocked how much the word 'cock' was used in the stories. It was funny, she still wants to read them.

Has anyone heard anything about who may be performing with/at Justin's concert this october in Vegas?????

And NO I HAVEN'T been DRINKING!

I am so done done with the heat. It has been too hot this summer. Lately there has been a few thunderstorms but just enough to make it more humid. It wrecks havoc on ones hair especialy when you are trying out a new style that requires straightening your hair. I straightened my hair this morning and took my dog for a walk. The walk took about 45 minutes and in that time my hair was wavy again. *sighs*

I know someone who is going to comic con in LA and I am envious because she is going to get to possibly see Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles at the SPN panel. I hope she takes good pics. This summer I am trying to catch up with season 1 and 2 of Supernatural. I have season one done. I am on the second disc of season 2. I love these guys.

Life is ok around here. Work is going well. It has been a little crazy though this summer. There has been some drama lately with the firing of the head of Neurology at the hospital. This doctor's brother is head nursing officer so we are hoping that since his brother got fired he will leave as well. The CNO is not well liked by those of us who do direct patient care. SO it shall be interesting to see what comes of this.

I bought a pretty new purse today. It is purple and shiny. I like it muchly.

So I got this new computer today because my old one was making funny noises. This monitor I have is freakin huge. I am not sure I am going to like it. It makes my eyes burn pretty quick. Any suggestions?

Oh hi by the way. My name is Tonya. I am sorry it has been a while since I have been on here. My life is so boring that I am embaressed by its mundaneness. Is that a word? hmmm. SO the new computer is the coolest thing right now in my life. It is an hp and I use to have a dell. So things are way weird to me. It will be an adjustment. Lots of peeps told me that they prefer the hp. Now I have to put my house and office back in order. There are boxes and papers all over the place. Plus I have to figure out what to do with the old computer.
Tell me people how have you been. I am trying twitter. I figured out how to do a twit pic. all by myslelf and I am so proud. I am a self proclaimed technology challenged person so I act like a little kid when I due something techy on my own.
Looking forward to the ABDC. I am ready to see JC on my tv every week.
I went to see the NKOTB on July 3rd. I enjoyed the show. The Jabbawokkie (sp) were awesome. Jesse McCartney was ok. Donnie moonwalked and had his kids there. He brought them up on the stage. They were cute. Jon looked bored as always. I love Joey. SO good so cute.
I need to catch up with my friends list and restock my favorites list. Ta

Well lets see nothing new really.
Just thought I would say hi.
This weekend I was excited about getting my yard dug up and leveled out, but rain in the forcast for the entire weekend has put a stop to that. :( I didn't want to rent the equipment and the ground be too wet to spread out the dirt.

So now I have my weekend free. Woo Hoo. I shall watch more of SPN season 1.

Stanley Cup Finals have started. Go Penquins! I just don't like Detroit as a whole, although I will give props to Osgood.

I haven't decided if I am going to go to the Shriners golf tournament yet this year. I keep going back and forth on it. It boils down to budget. I have a trip planned in September and one in Novemeber as well so money could be tight. I would really love to go to the concert, mainly to see what Justin would perform. He doesn't really have any new material out as of yet so perhaps he would use this concert as a sneak preview of new stuff. Perhaps he could talk JC into performing. :)

I have been trying to grow my hair out and it is in that in between stage which is driving me crazy! Today may be the day that I just say forget it and get it cut again. UGGGH

I am comtemplating buying an IPOD. I currently use my phone as my mp3 player, but I have issues with verizon rhapsody music. I just need to stop being so cheap and do it.

Ok I have over the last 2 years watched Supernatural and really love it. The two leads Jared and Jensen just make the show. Plus, they are hot! I have recently started reading the RPS to come from this show. I don't like the sam/dean stuff because ewww incest, but I like the Jared/Jensen stuff. It is yummy. I also bought the first season from Amazon and have started watching that. I am a Sam girl.

Now back to my other true first loves....I hope that JC's doo at the MTV movie awards means he is going to let his hair grow out. OH Please.

Justin and Andy were cute. That is all I saw of the show.

Punkin is doing much better and I think she is actually feeling better. I mean she has puppy playfullness back. I think the soreness is working out of that hip and it doesn't rub like it used to and hurt her. YAY!

I hope everyone is surviving this economy and hope summer is going well so far for each of you.

Yesterday we had several monsoon-type rains through here and my backyard is official a swamp now. Things are greening up as a bonus which means more mowing. YAY. Aren't I a real glass half full kind of gal today.

My trip to California to visit my friends is over and I had a good time. While I was there the weather was pretty hot: record breaking hot. Disneyland was kind of miserable the first few hours with the heat and the lines. Hunington beach was pretty the only thing bad about that experience was that I got stung by a bee. OUCH. I have pictures of a nice looking surfer showering. It was too bad he didn't take his wet suit off for it. :(

Back to the daily grind.

JC's snippet of a song is good I think. I even like it sounding raw or unmixed. It has been too long since we have been able to hear his voice. He has such a talent. Truly.

My friends and I got tickets for the NKOTB concert here in July. woo hoo.

Reading wise. I finished Lover Enshrined of the BDB series. I thought it was interesting, but so far the hardest book for me to read. I did like that little bit about Qhuinn and Blay though. I wonder if that will get explored more in a future book. I really like the John Mathew character.

Oh and Beth regarding V's book..I totally didn't see that coming. It is different I must say but overall I liked it. I still think so far my favorite book is still Rhage with Zsadist a close second.

Ok time to put on my golashes and take Punkin for a short walk. It has been a month and I feel that she isn't using that leg as much as she should. We go back to the Vet next week. I am going to ask him about exercises that I can help her with and see if he would be ok with me taking her to PT at another vet clinic since his doesn't offer it.

I am sitting here typing an update to my so boring life while I hear the heavy panting of a big black adorable lab mix dog.

I am visiting some friends in California for my birthday. They are at work slaving away while I am here enjoying the sunlight. It is beautiful out and the house that my friend is house sitting at has a nice pool and two cool if not slightly ocd dogs. Well only one dog is OCD the lab that I mentioned: Max. He loves, loves to play catch. He does. I mean he likes it so much that he reminds me of a junky needing a fix or that little dog from those Kibble and Bits commercials. So in between reading on the internet and my book Max and I have been playing catch. The other dog which is smaller and looks like a mix of something with blond soft hair. His name is baby and he is more mellow and I try to pet him in between throws.

I am relaxed and thinking of taking a nap because people in Orange start their lawn work at 7:45 in the am. Before that I shall play another round of catch and read some more while I dangle my feet in the pool. The weather is awesome. I am having a good time with my friends and thankful to fandom that I have made them. Tomorrow we are going to a Dodgers game so that should be fun. I have never been to a professional baseball game and I look forward to it. I hear that the "dodger dog" is something close to heaven. yay


The book I am reading is book 5 in the black daggar brotherhood series. It is the one about Vischous. It is good.

I had a interesting patient the other day. It reaffirmed to me that this is what I am suppose to be doing. Doesn't that sound all self righteous. It isn't meant to.

Seriously people are totally weird. I mean really seriously weird. I know that this is not news to anyone.

I am so ready to go on vacation.

I love love Supernatural and last night was a great episode. It very cleverly (may not be a word) delt with the issue of slash fanfiction within that fandom. For those of you who are not fans, Sam and Dean are brothers. The slash depicts them obviously in incestous relationships and in the episode they made it clear that they thought it was wrong and disgusting. Overall a wonderful episode.

Have I ever mention that I am getting to where I hate walmart. Well I am and I do.

I don't have much else. I have been mostly trying to relax and read. I haven't been sleeping well lately and it sucks. Perhaps it is all the vampire books I have read lately. No it can't be that because these are not mean horrible vampires. I find it intersting how each author has a different take on the vampire world. There are a lot of similiarities, but each author has to put their own spin on it. It makes it more interesting which is the point.

Facebook is making it harder and harder to avoid people I didn't like in high school. It is like they assume that because we went to the same high school that we should just be friends. NO, I didn't like you then for whatever reason and I don't like you now. I am sorry that you are looking back on your life and realizing that high school was your big stage and now life is what it is. I don't think you have changed that much. I don't want to be in touch again and I am not looking to increase the number of friends I have. I only made a profile on Fb in the first place to be able to talk with my family in St Louis.

Day4 post op FHO for Punkin. She is doing pretty well getting around on 3 legs. I am trying to encourage her to put down her right hind leg by praising her when she does it. She does it every once in a while. Follow up is in 2 weeks. I feel sorry for her. She seems depressed and I don't blame her. She is currently lying in the sun. I put sunscreen on her bare leg so she doesn't get sunburned. She is a sad doggy. I can only imagine how much that area is going to itch when that hair grows back.

I postponed my trip to Orlando to September. I was going to leave on the 30th of April, but the flights from here in doo dah were crazy.

We (my family and friends) all survived the "blizzard". In our area we ended up with 4 inches I believe. Today the sun is shining and the yard looks a little swampy.


I am waiting still for the bookstore to get in the 2nd novel in the black dagger brotherhood series.
